Romantic cozy mystery - with witches, vampires, and shifters!

Pepper Jasper, an Australian witch who has long practiced traditional witchcraft, does not believe in the supernatural - such as Werewolves and Shifters, or Vampires.

Pepper moves from Sydney to the cozy town of Lighthouse Bay, answering a desperate plea from her aunts to help with their failing Bed and Breakfast business.

She discovers her aunts are more eccentric than she remembered, the Bed and Breakfast does not serve breakfast, and the cottages for lease have strange themes. And what's more, within minutes of her arrival, she stumbles across a dead body. Pepper soon has her hands full, contending with a murder mystery, irritating guests including the enigmatic Lucas O'Callaghan, who is convinced every woman wants to fall into his arms; and her aunts, who are hiding more than one dark secret.

Who or what lurks in the forbidden room at the end of the dark corridor?

Why do the aunts insist she drink copious quantities of special label wine?

Find out what awaits Pepper Jasper at Mugwort Manor.

This is a romantic cozy mystery. There is no bad language and the romance is clean and wholesome.

Witches' Brew Vampires and Wine Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Morgana Best Tiffany Dougherty Books

I don't even know how Valkyrie came up with the name Pepper for herself, but there's no real point in her using the name since everyone, especially her aunts insist on calling her by her birth name most of the time.
"Pepper" is kept in the dark all the time by her aunts. Since the story is written from her perspective, we the readers are also kept in the dark.
Why bother to say that any of them are witches? The only magic that's done is to force the shifter to change and when the *spoiler* aunts reveal their true appearance. With a bit of editing, the witch angle could be left out entirely.
Early in the book Lucas says that he feels that "Pepper" might be in danger. Okay, so why is she left on her own all the time. I get that the aunts are hiding things, but shooing "Pepper" out of the house all the time when there's a murderer on the loose is just plain dumb.

Witches' Brew Vampires and Wine Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Morgana Best Tiffany Dougherty Books Reviews

A great cozy mystery.

Pepper sure has allot to absorb as she makes her way to live with her 3 aunts. Meeting 2 handsome men in one day is just the begining. Murder amd mystery soon follow suite and now it is up to Pepper to make sense out of it all. Albeit the mercurial Mr. O'Callaghan does not make the situation any easier with his conceit and odd requests.

A real tailspin of a tale filled with all sorts of things that go bump in the night. And explanations on how wrong we have been about them throughout the years.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Valkyrie "Call me Pepper" Jasper. When she moves to Lighthouse Bay, to help her 3 spinster aunts run their funny little bed and breakfast, Mugwort Manor, she finds out more about herself and her aunts than she ever wanted to know. When she arrives at the Manor, a body literally' drops at her feet. I finished reading this delightful mystery in one sitting. Another cantputdownable must read.

Morgana Best has a vivid imagination and polished this fun and fast-paced story with delightful descriptions and an assortment of captivating characters. Her non-American spellings did not detract from the reading and offered the story another level of interest. I am very curious about the rest of the series and look forward to reading more from Ms. Best.

The interplay between Pepper and Lucas O’Callaghan makes one curious how they will manage to solve a mysterious murder with all their distractions. Add Pepper's crazy aunts, family secrets, and a fabulous mixture of cast members (felines included) to the muddle and the craziness becomes humorously epic.

A classic mystery novel I feel you will enjoy. I know I did.
Pepper Jasper moved in with her 3 aunts to help them run their bed and breakfast inn only to find out her aunts were keeping things from her. First a dead guy falls through the stained glass ceiling, a guy checking in seems to think that all women are attracted to him. This book will have you laughing in some spots, thinking you've got it all figured out, but most likely you'll be shaking your head cause you didn't see that coming. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good cozy mystery.
Without a job, again, I accept my strange aunts' offer to help them run their bed and breakfast. It seems that their favorite explanation to the unusual occurrences that happen is "That is a story for another day."

When the dead body falls through the skylight, the police are not too worried, and the aunts talk to something that growls ( don't go in that room, dear) I begin to feel as if I am in another world.

Ms Best does create another world. Vampires, witches, an wine... what better basis for a fun story! Thanks for the good read.
What I like best about this book was that it took place Down Under. The quirky aunts were fun characters, along with the too handsome fellow who is certain every woman is after him. Morganna did an excellent job of forshadowing throughout the book. It is rather like the feeling you get when you are alone in the house and hear a noise and know something is wrong, but you don't know what. This kept me paging turning along with curiousity if the too handome man would ever quit being so arrogant.

This is a fun book that features a bed and breakfast, a murder (of course), interfering relatives, a handsome fellow or two and werewolves. I didn't see the ending coming, either. Not your usual cozy mystery. Find out why.

Books about the paranormal are some of my favorites and Morgana Best makes is impossible not to fall in love with it even more. Valkyrie moves back home to live with her aunts and ends up in the middle of a mystery. When she ends up finding out that secrets run in her family what will she do when they start to come out? She meets the mysterious Lucas on the day she returns home but this man is both attractive and a pain in the butt, what happens when she fights her attraction? Thank you for allowing me to read this book and write a honest and unbiased review.
